[Rudolf didn’t mind waking in an unfamiliar bed, it wasn’t exactly new, he didn’t usually stay the night, but it happened now and then, so he planned to just gather his things and go without bothering to pay attention to the woman beside him.

But there was a problem, he didn’t see his clothes anywhere, and come to think of it, the last thing he remembered was being on Rokkenjima…yeah, on Rokkenjima, and he was shot by his sister, Eva, wasn’t he? He remembered that much, he went out with a bang, he got to make just the sort of cool speech he always loved in movies, but he had definitely died.

The room looked pretty well perfect and clean, so was it the afterlife, then? Well, if he got to sleep with beautiful women, death wasn’t going to be so bad. He was expecting Hell from the actions he had taken throughout his life, but especially for what he had done to deserve being killed.]

Guess I atoned somehow, it’s way too nice here. [He grins after glancing over at the woman in bed] She’s too beautiful to be a devil.

[That’s what he thought, until poking around, looking at the framed photographs around the room, looking in horror from the woman he woke up with and the wedding portrait on the dresser of himself and not his real wife, but…Eva?]

[ Part of her considers just letting him walk out.. but then again, if he doesn't enter the house every now and then, he might get droned. And the very last thing Eva wants all over her is a droned Rudolf who thinks she's his real wife. It's probably the only way this could get worse. ]

Hey, Rudolf.. Do you really think people would go along with a thing like this if they were given a choice? [ Her voice went down a level from screaming to snappy again. ] Even seeing your face is already bad enough, but for them to enlist you as my-- [ y u p, can't even say it. ugh. ]

[He turns around to grin at her] Yeah, I think you'd go along with it, without Hideyoshi, who would want you unless it's their only option? I bet you tell everyone who comes in here that they're being forced, it must be a great place for you, Aneki. Who wants such a scary woman who's all about feminism and crap. You might be able to trick others, but not me, and I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

[ Rudolf what indeed. Because this is seriously what crosses the line for her, and while she doesn't have her gun in reach to vent her anger with, she does have something else. And so she immediately strikes out, looking like she's going to kick him in the face but instead stops right in front of it. Her foot hangs there for a few moments before she drops it again, the glare still there. ]

This is just as bad for me as it is for you, so don't make it harder than it has to be. There are certain consequences the people in charge of this town have for people who don't want to stay in line and I, for one, don't want to have to go through that.

Like I said, this place is called Mayfield based on America back in the fifties, and it's sort of like a mass kidnapping case. They're trying to make us live fake lives here, with fake families, fake jobs and everything related to it. Some of this town's resident are regular humans like us, but there are plenty of 'drones' here who seem to believe they've always lived here.

And.. if anyone gets out of line here, they'll drone said person too. So they'll start to believe their entire life here is real, including the fake family structures. .. Understand what that means, Rudolf..? [ aka LET'S MAKE THIS NEVER HAPPEN. ]

Ugh, what the hell am I with you for then?! Yeah, don't worry, I'm not going to let that happen, I'll even go right ahead and give you permission to kick me hard if it happens. But not just because you want to, you hear?

Hmmm..? Of course it's different. This isn't about matters like petty sibling hierachy anymore. [ And after her voice is somewhat normal again, slightly teasing as usual, it turns cold, rage thinly lying under it. [Rudolf quickly grows much more serious, folding his arms across his chest.]

[ She abandons the first remark in exchange for becoming touchy about these subjects again. ]

[He really never thought anything would happen to Kyrie, she's supposed to be the one who can get through anything, that's why she's scary, but also exciting, and it means he doesn't have to worry about her.

Then again, he knows some of it may be his fault.]

[ She doesn't feel guilty over what she did. Not that she's someone who kills easily, but what she did to Rudolf and Kyrie.. they deserved it. That much she firmly believes. But at the same time she doesn't feel like rubbing this in, especially not since she knows the pain of losing a spouse as well. ]

[ That's probably why she changes the subject rather than dwelling on it. ]

Regardless, I would watch your back around here. There are things out here more dangerous to you than I am.

Frequently things happen around here which usually cause at the very least injury and at worst death to plenty of people. I'd say that's plenty more scary than I am.
